Jay Ruane


Attorney Jay Ruane was admitted into practice in October 1998. He has been admitted in the jurisdictions of Connecticut (1998), the United States Supreme Court (2004), and New York (2015). Since beginning his career, Jay has built one of the largest criminal law firms in the State of Connecticut. In addition, he is recognized for his sharp legal mind, creative defenses, and his desire to fight for the underdog. Jay’s commitment to his profession is shown by the countless seminars that he attends and speaks at each year, as well as his professional accolades. Jay was the 2006 recipient of the New Leaders of the Law Award, among other prestigious awards. In addition, he has many professional associations, including:

Krista Anroman


Krista is our Head Paralegal and has over twenty years experience in the legal field. She is a great asset to our company and has worked for Ruane Attorneys for the past 12 years. Prior to that she worked for Gaston & Ruane for over ten years. She has trained and worked with clients on all types of cases including Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Criminal, DUI and the Pardon Application Process. She has led the Pardon Division of our firm since its inception and she is experienced with what the Board requires for a complete Pardon Application. She is very personable and enjoys speaking with clients. She is always there to help them and answer any questions they may have.   She notes that clients frequently say to her “I have a stupid question”. She always responds to them “there is no question that is stupid when it comes to your case”.   She takes her work very serious and treats every case as if it were her own.  When dealing with the legal aspects of a case, there is a lot involved and there are always many questions that need to be answered.
